“I have to go back to my ancestors. My grandmother was so adamant about these plants for some reason and she had them everywhere. As you may notice, I have plants in every room because she had plants in every room. I didn’t quite understand why at first but now I know today, that the plants give off oxygen at night, it takes out all the impurities when your trapped in the house, especially during the winter time when you really can’t open your windows or go outside.”

I started gardening 7 years ago as a mental health support, quite honestly. I needed an outlet. I was in a bad place and I needed air. I needed something in my life I could control. Only to find out I had absolutely no control out here in this garden. I started with a small 4×4 square plant raised bed a box and got on the internet and tried to find people who seemed like they knew what they was doing and I found a couple people who I really like and who lived close…

I’ve been caring for plants my entire life. I didn’t actually start a business until two years ago. After I lost my job during covid, I decided I would never work for anybody else ever again and I had no idea what I was going to do for that. I just knew I didn’t want to work for anybody and I wanted to have a business that was impactful. So, I became a yoga teacher and I opened a yoga studio which was also a plant shop. That did not work out. It failed, but while I was working there I was asked by a few people to come to their home and help them out with their plants and so I did. Next thing I know, I was really busy and that became the business. It was like the business chose me.
